DY（Dong Yue）is a PhD candidate in Dance, based between the UK and China. With a professional background as a Chinese Classical Dance teacher and choreographer, and previous teaching experience at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, her research drews on dance phenomenology, feminist and decolonial theory to explore female dancing bodies and their cultural representations. Her work critically engages with issues of decentralization and power structures in embodied practices.
